Position Summary
The Associate, Corporate Development will combine strong financial and analytical skills with exceptional project management to support clients throughout the M&A and transaction process. This role will work closely with firm owners, investors and industry stakeholders to develop transaction strategies, analyze financial performance and deliver high-quality client materials. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communication and coordinating project workstreams.
- Manage multiple transaction-related projects from initiation through completion.
- Ensure deliverables are accurate, timely and aligned with client objectives.
Financial Modeling and Analysis
- Build, audit and maintain complex operational and valuation models.
- Develop financial models, including LBO, DCF and three-statement models.
- Analyze financial and operational data to support transaction strategy and decision-making.
- Identify key trends, risks and opportunities within financial data.
Due Diligence and Strategic M&A Advisory
- Analyze and interpret complex financial information and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Support quality of earnings (QofE) analysis and other financial due diligence activities.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and M&A deliverables, including teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMs) and management presentations.
- Support clients throughout the M&A process and help develop transaction strategies.
Executive Presentations
- Prepare board- and executive-level presentations and materials.
- Translate complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise, client-ready insights.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders as needed.
Mentorship and Team Development
- Lead by example and contribute to a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
- Provide guidance and feedback to analysts and junior team members.
- Support the professional development of junior staff.
Qualifications
- Two to five-plus years of experience in investment banking, private equity, financial advisory, corporate finance or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related field required.
- Master’s degree, MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI or similar data analytics tools preferred.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with LBO, DCF and three-statement models.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
