Corporate CounselSK hynix is seeking an experienced mid-level attorney to serve as strategic legal counsel for our new cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, Indiana. This role requires exceptional legal expertise across commercial, regulatory, and government affairs domains. The ideal candidate will navigate complex legal frameworks while effectively liaising between our Indiana operations, San Jose office, and SK hynix headquarters.

This position offers a unique opportunity to shape legal strategy for a major semiconductor investment in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.Responsibilities:Assist/lead all legal aspects of establishing and operating our Indiana semiconductor manufacturing facility, including commercial agreements, construction contracts, and operational complianceDraft, review, negotiate, and provide legal advice on commercial contracts with various business partnersMonitor and ensure compliance with relevant US regulations affecting semiconductor operationsDevelop policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across the organizationAnalyze legal claims, investigate facts, and provide strategic recommendations to managementCoordinate with the parent company's legal team on cross-border matters and corporate governanceManage relationships with federal, state, and local government officials and agenciesQualifications:Juris Doctor degree from a top-tier US law school in the United StatesActive membership in at least one state barA minimum of 4 years of experience in law firms or as an in-house counsel (or both)Demonstrated expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolutionExperience with construction and procurement-related contractsProven ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environmentsExceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholdersBilingual proficiency in English and KoreanPreferred Qualifications:Experience in working in a large corporation and in cooperating with the parent company, affiliates and/or subsidiariesExperience in the semiconductor or advanced technology manufacturing sectorExperience with respect to the Chips Act or other federal/state government funding projects.Experience with regulatory mattersExperience working in a multicultural or international environmentRequirement:Authorized to work in the USWillingness to travel periodically to San Jose, Seoul, and other locations as neededAbility to work extended hours when necessary due to global time differencesBenefits:Top Tier health insurance at no employee costPaid day offs: PTO + Company Holidays + Happy FridaysPaid Parental Leave Program401k MatchingEducational reimbursementDonation Matching and volunteering opportunitiesCorporate discount programsEqual Employment Opportunity:SKHYA is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
