Summary:

Weareseekingapragmatic,hands-onCorporateCounseltosupportourlegalandbusinessoperations.Thisroleisidealforanattorneywithexperienceinconstructionlaw,litigation,andcorporatematters,includinglaborwithbroadexposureacrossagrowingcompanyratherthananarrowpracticearea.Youwillserveasakeylegalresourceacrossdepartments,advisingonday-to-daymattersandhelpingthebusinessmoveefficientlywhilemanagingrisk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manageandsupportlitigationinvolvinginsurancecoverageorconstructionclaims,workingwithexternalcounselasnecessaryandfilingliensasnecessary
• Leadcollection/lienenforcementandnegotiatingwithinsurancecarriersandopposingcounsel.
• Review,draft,andnegotiatecontracts,subcontractagreements,andlabor-relatedagreements,ensuringalignmentwithcompanyinterestsandlegalrequirements.
• Assistinthedevelopmentandimplementationofinternalpoliciesandproceduresregardingbusinessandemploymentmatters.
• Collaboratewithvariousdepartments,includingfinance,humanresources,andoperations,toassistwithlegalneeds.

Qualifications:

• JurisDoctor(JD)fromanaccreditedlawschoolandactivemembershipintheCaliforniaStateBarrequiredattimeofstart.
• Aminimumof3+yearsofexperienceinconstructionlaw,insurancelaw,commerciallitigation,realestatelaw,creditor-debtorlaw,orarelatedfield.
• FamiliaritywithemploymentlawandHR-relatedlegalmatters.
• Excellentdrafting,negotiation,andcommunicationskills.
• Aproactiveandsolution-orientedapproachtolegalissues.

• $180K-$200K,basedonexperience
