Corporate Controller

This thrilling role places you at the heart of a team, entrusting you with the management of accounting practices and financial reports.Responsibilities:• Manage the monthly close process, including account reconciliation, journal entries and financial statement preparation• Oversee the accounting practices including inventory, fixed assets and payroll management• Conduct financial analysis to interpret trends, budget variances and provide advice in line with established financial policy• Maintain the company's accounting, costing, analysis, budgeting, cash management and financial reporting• Oversee preparation of accurate and timely budgets, forecasts and strategic financial plans• Ensure that accounting records are prepared, maintained and reported in accordance with GAAP• Prepare support schedules to assist in income tax reporting• Direct the maintenance of fixed asset records and reports, including depreciation accounts• Establish methods to ensure proper capitalization and expensing by class• Coordinate with external auditors as needed• Utilize JD Edwards and Microsoft Excel for managing accounting functions and commercial property.• Approve departmental schedules, procedures, systems and methods for timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
