Our client is an organization in the greater Milwaukee area looking for a Corporate Controller . This company is looking for someone with 15+ years of accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and strategic leadership experience.

The Corporate Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial reporting integrity.
Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Coordinate and manage external audits and tax compliance requirements.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development.
Implement and optimize financial systems, policies, and procedures.
Monitor cash flow, investments, and financial risk management strategies.
Collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
Other duties as needed.

The Corporate Controller will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field
15+ years of accounting experience.
Large, complex multi-location and global company experience required.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
