Corporate Controller

Our small and privately held distribution related client is looking for their next Hands-On Controller.

*The revenue is about 50M here and it is Onsite in Skokie*

Responsibilities:

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the business.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Develop annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
• Partner with ownership to provide meaningful financial analysis and business insights.
• Ensure accurate account reconciliations and month-end close procedures.
• Maintain internal controls and financial policies.
• Coordinate with external CPA firms on reviews, tax matters, and financial statement preparation.
• Provide financial support for business planning, investments, pricing decisions, and operational initiatives.
• Assist leadership in evaluating strategic opportunities and business changes.
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
• Enhance reporting capabilities and financial visibility across the organization.
• Manage small staff in Accounting and HR.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience within privately held, family-owned, distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or closely held businesses strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mentality.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a practical approach to problem-solving.

Salary Range: 150-160K + Bonus, DOE, License, Education, Etc
