INSPYR Solutions is partnered with an oilfield services company in Deer Park to hire a Corporate Controller for their team. This position is onsite and will be responsible for managing the entire accounting department and processes.
We’re looking for a results-driven Controller to lead and enhance our accounting operations. In this key leadership role, you'll oversee the full scope of accounting functions and play a strategic part in financial planning and organizational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily accounting operations across general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and all relevant tax laws and regulatory requirements
- Develop, refine, and enforce internal controls, operational processes, and department KPIs
- Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to inform strategic financial decisions
- Oversee the creation and management of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Provide regular financial reporting and insights to the CFO
- Coordinate year-end audits and liaise with external auditors
- Drive initiatives to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support growth
- Lead recruitment, training, and retention efforts within the accounting team
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 7+ years in a leadership capacity
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and standard accounting practices
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams
- Demonstrated success in process optimization and driving organizational change
- Strong attention to detail with a systems and process mindset
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- Proficient in accounting systems and ERP software; Epicor experience is a plus
- CPA is strongly preferred
