Corporate ControllerThe Corporate Controller is responsible for leading the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close process across multiple operating companies. This role plays a critical leadership position within the finance team and partners closely with executive leadership to support strategic financial decision-making, operational performance, and continued company growth.The ideal candidate will have strong construction accounting experience, a deep understanding of job costing and WIP reporting, and experience managing multi-entity financial operations in a fast-paced environment.Essential FunctionsLead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all operating companiesEnsure timely and accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedulesOversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial reportingManage and improve internal accounting controls, processes, and proceduresOversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management functionsAnalyze and manage Work in Progress (WIP) reporting and revenue recognition processesPartner with operational leaders to review project financial performance, profitability, labor costs, and forecastingSupport annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processesCoordinate annual audits, tax preparation support, and external reporting requirements with outside auditors and tax partnersEnsure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policiesDevelop financial reporting packages, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis for executive leadership and ownershipAssist with ERP optimization, accounting system implementations, and process improvementsSupervise and mentor accounting team members while promoting accountability and professional developmentSupport mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic initiatives as neededPerform additional duties assigned by executive leadershipAdditional duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, master's in accounting preferredCPA or CMA preferred7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience required3+ years of leadership or management experience requiredStrong construction accounting experience requiredStrong understanding of job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and WIP schedulesExperience with multi-entity accounting environments preferredProficiency with ERP/accounting systems required; construction ERP experience preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and leadership skillsHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
