As a result, the company's activities in the fields of nuclear energy and related sciences are yielding significant innovations in the safety and economics of nuclear power, hybrid energy and medical applications – all for significant human health benefits.This role oversees all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control functions of the company to ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, as well as compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements. This role leads the accounting team in managing general ledger, month-end book close, and operations efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and eager to collaborate, strengthening accounting operations in a fast-paced, rapid growth and data-driven environment.Responsibilities:Review monthly financial statements, reporting, reconciliations, related supporting schedules and intercompany elimination for subsidiaries and corporateProvide leadership and guidance to accounting operations, including setting goals, optimizing end-to-end processes, resolving issues, identifying opportunities for improvementsEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsManage key areas of month-end close process, review journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reporting and variance analysisEnhance existing accounting procedures and seek opportunities to improve accounting operational efficiency and effectivenessManage treasury operations, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, and intercompany fundingMonitor and manage foreign currency exposure, including evaluating risks, recommending hedging strategies, and coordinating execution of foreign exchange transactionsDevelop good working relationships with internal/external stakeholders; regularly interact with business owners and management on accounting mattersDevelop, document and process cost allocations among different legal entities and projectsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in collaboration with FP&A teamPrepare financial and profitability analysis as requestedDrive process improvement and automation initiatives across accounting and treasury functionResponsible for assisting with the annual financial audit with independent auditorsSupport supply agreement contract review for accounting implicationsPrepare project cost analysis to measure and monitor project financial performance.Develop, implement, and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reportingProviding accurate compliant financial reporting while digitalizing accounting operations and promoting the flow of decision-ready financial information across internal systems.Champion automation, technology and process improvements to minimize manual effort and increase the speed and accuracy of all accounting processes.Oversee the designing, implementation, monitoring, and testing of internal controls.

Advocate for improvements based on analyses of the controls environment.Guide corporate-level decisions on cash flow, balance sheet optimization, and long-term financial strategy. Driving financial excellence, liquidity, and data-driven decision-making.Key Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with strong preference for CPA.Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in an accounting role with strong preference for experience supporting an engineering environment.Experience in financial reporting, analysis, cash flow management, and drafting MD&AStrong working knowledge of all aspects of accounting (Cash, Payroll, Prepaid, A/P, A/R, Fixed Assets, intercompany, consolidation).Proficient with Excel as a business tool (pivot tables, data manipulation/importing, index, Xlookup, AI tools such as MS Copilot, etc.).Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP accounting system BNA Fixed Assets tracking system.Strong background in treasury management, cash forecasting, and foreign currency exposure or hedging is preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a team, under tight deadlines at times, and in an ever changing / dynamic environment.Candidate should possess high level of attention to detail and accuracy, and strong analytical skills.Demonstrates expert technical understanding of finance systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP), Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and U.S. GAAP standards and SEC reportingKnowledge of advanced financial reporting software and close and consolidation systems that have capabilities for automated data collection, validation, analysis, and integrationKnowledge of financial software and/or ERPs that streamline data flow from external disclosuresStrong judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skillsExpertise in providing financial insights and analysis, acting as a trusted advisor for financial decisions, and collaborating with FP&A leadersExecutive-level written and verbal communication and presentation skills to succinctly and effectively communicate to staff, peers, and senior executivesAbility to collaborate effectively with leaders in and outside finance to standardize procedures for collaborating on financial data integration and transferFamiliarity with project management methodologies (e.g., agile, lean) and how to apply them to Finance value streamsStrong leadership skills to provide vision and support to the finance and accounting team, mentor individuals, and develop high-performing talent.The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.Proven track record of running an efficient accounting operation, business processes, and financial management controls environmentPrevious involvement with identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline accounting operations, drive innovation and increase efficiencyJob Functions:Motor Abilities: Sitting for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands)Physical exertion and/or requirements: Minimal, with ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds.Repetitive work: ProlongedSpecial Senses: Visual and audio focused workWork Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hours/dayTravel required 0-10%Salary Range: $196,537 - $294,806* We typically place offers in the lower to middle portion of the range to maintain internal equity and allow room for growth. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected individual's qualifications experience.
