Corporate Attorney (Real Estate Focus)

Citi Trends is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Attorney with a strong real estate background to join our Legal team in Savannah, GA.

This is a great opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working at the intersection of real estate, corporate law, operations, and business strategy . In this role, you’ll support a fast-paced, multi-location retail organization by advising on commercial real estate transactions, leases, acquisitions, development matters, corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.

We’re looking for someone who can confidently partner with internal stakeholders, manage complex legal matters, and provide practical guidance that supports business growth while protecting the organization.

In this role, you will:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and development agreements
• Advise on land use, zoning, property acquisitions, financing, and due diligence matters
• Support real estate transactions from negotiation through closing
• Partner with real estate, finance, operations, and executive teams
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and risk mitigation
• Manage real estate-related disputes in partnership with external counsel when needed

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law and good standing with the applicable state bar
• 5+ years of corporate legal experience with a strong focus on real estate transactions
• Experience with commercial leasing, acquisitions, development, land use, and zoning
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• The ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal business partners
• In-house legal experience and multi-location retail experience are a plus
