A law firm seeks a Corporate Associate/Senior Associate with expertise in investment management and private funds to join their team in Greenwich, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in representing investment managers and sponsors in the formation and operation of private funds, including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital.
Duties
- Represent investment managers in forming and operating private funds.
- Draft and negotiate investment management and fund-related documents.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters.
- Prepare and review private placement memoranda and related agreements.
- Represent family offices in structuring and documenting investments.
- Negotiate and document executive employment agreements.
- Manage sophisticated matters and supervise junior attorneys.
Requirements
- Minimum of six years of experience in investment management and private fund formation.
- Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating complex documents.
- Ability to manage client relationships independently.
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior attorneys.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bar admission in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
