Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented mid-level Associate to join their Corporate Practice Group in our Chicago office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions alongside a collaborative team recognised for its excellence in mergers and acquisitions and private equity work.
Base pay range: $200,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
- Represent financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers in a wide range of M&A and private equity transactions, from deal inception through closing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition and disposition agreements, as well as related transaction documents.
- Advise clients on deal structures, transaction strategy, and risk management considerations.
- Manage deal processes efficiently, including supervising junior associates and coordinating with specialists across the firm.
- Conduct and oversee due diligence and assist in the resolution of complex transactional issues.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in M&A and private equity transactions at a leading law firm.
- Strong background representing both financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers.
- Proven experience preparing and negotiating key deal documentation.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
