Cornea Specialist

Sanford Health is seeking a fellowship-trained BC/BE Cornea Specialist to join the long-term ophthalmology department at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role involves providing cornea services, cataract, and comprehensive eye care to meet the needs of their patients. • Long-term ophthalmology department offers full spectrum eye care services including Optometry, Retina, Glaucoma, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Comprehensive eye care, and oculoplastic services

Responsibilities

• Provide cornea services along with cataract and comprehensive eye care services
• Perform history and physical examination
• Admit (if applicable to setting), evaluate, diagnose, consult
• Provide nonsurgical and surgical procedures on patients of all ages with ocular, and visual disorders, including those of the eye and its component structures, the eyelids, the orbit and the visual pathways

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained
• BC/BE Cornea Specialist
• M.D. or D.O. degree
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Ophthalmology residency program accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
• Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
• If not board certified at the time of application but completed residency within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of residency training
• H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
• Ability to demonstrate at least 50 Ophthalmology procedures in the last 12 months (for applicants not directly out of residency)
