Performs data entry responsibilities. The Core Lab Coordinator is involved in more complex processing which could include, but not limited to Microbiology processing, frozen splits, send-outs, Cytology processing, etc. Specific functions will require additional access in the laboratory computer system.Responsibilities:Coordinates phlebotomy communications for day to dayPerforms add-on's for ChemistryCoordinates the send out area for reference lab testingSpecimen processingCollaborates and communicates with departmental and system-wide staff, supervisory and management personnel, physicians, patients, and with various outside referral representatives to facilitate timely and effective actions and decisions.Performs other duties as requestedOperates and/or maintains departmental equipment and work areasPerforms laboratory tests and procedures as requiredOther information:Associates Degree in a Science related fieldRegistry (or eligibility) as a phlebotomist or Science related fieldSpecialty Certification preferred1 year of health care experience.
