Job Description
The Coordinator/Educator is accountable and responsible for managing and demonstrating leadership skills in the systems management of practice and/or operations issues. The Coordinator/Educator will ensure appropriate outcomes and efficient, effective team processes, guiding activities of the area, including but not limited to the staff, environment, and patients.

Education: Associate's Degree In nursing;
License: Active single or compact license by the MS Board of Nursing
Experience: 3 years In the specified clinical area or specified operational experience

Responsibilities
- Provides essential management functions to assure effective day-to-day
- Assists with development and maintenance of budgets
- Monitors and adjusts staffing as appropriate, encouraging involvement and equal work distribution; Audits time and attendance
- Conducts interviews and hires staff in collaboration with Manager/Director
- Monitors inventory and par levels (i.e. departmental expense distribution reports)
- Facilitates the development and implementation of team processes through performance feedback
- Coaches team members in accountability and leads the team toward improvement by acting as a resource for staff to develop conflict, management, delegation, and communication skills; Interacts with all shifts
- Empowers the staff to make clinical and process decisions
- Performance appraisal process is completed as delegated
- Counsels staff and completes disciplinary actions as appropriate and as delegated by the manager
- Contributes to the growth of hospital personnel, students, and other health teams
- Serves as an educator in formal and informal settings for the health care team
- Identifies staff educational needs, develops, prepares, and implements plans based on the needs including completion of MNA Continuing Education applications as necessary
- Provides/facilitates orientation, continued education, and in-service programs and evaluates effectiveness
- Maintains course/class records, documenting attendance, examination scores; Submits database and other records to Learning Resource Center as needed
- Facilitates all phases of orientation for all roles including providing schedules and ensures completion of all orientation requirements prior to probationary evaluation
