Responsibilities

The COO at Aiken Regional Medical Center (Aiken, SC) oversees day‑to‑day operations, implements CEO and corporate strategy, and manages hospital departments to maximize quality of services and profitability.

Leadership Focus

• Direct quality operations to maximize ROI and reputation, increasing revenues, maintaining or reducing the effective bad debt rate, achieving margin targets, and implementing operating cost controls in staffing, supplies, and purchased services.
• Develop and provide quality programs and services to the community, ensuring all employees are committed to quality and service.
• Manage and develop employees, creating a hospital climate that motivates high performance, coaching, providing feedback, and building commitment.

Qualifications

• Five years of hospital experience with a minimum of two to three years as a senior level manager.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Business, Health Administration or a closely related field.
• Organized and able to manage multiple diverse departments.
• Detail‑oriented, focused on nuances of multiple hospital operations, and capable of managing communication with employees and vendors.
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions, including budgeting and forecasting.
