Summary: Responsible for setting up, breaking down, cleaning and maintaining event rooms according to business needs and company standards. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the MNGE policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Set-up event rooms in a timely manner on a daily basis. This may include removing all furniture from the rooms and resetting them as determined by the function sheet or as directed by management.
• Retrieve all necessary tables, chairs, podiums, etc. and deliver them to the function rooms.
• Clear out any unnecessary supplies from function rooms.
• Break down function of rooms at the conclusion of events.
• Return any supplies back to storage areas.
• Continuously keep service corridors, hallways and pre-function areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
• Ensure proper care, usage, movement and storage of all event equipment including tables, chairs, podiums, staging, skirting, dance floors, risers, AV and banquet equipment.
• Conduct general cleaning in preparation for the function.
• Perform general cleaning for all conventions center areas including storage areas.
• Communicate any supply needs to the banquet department.
• Assist guests with issues, needs or concerns.
• Review daily and weekly event schedules.
• Maintain standards of health, safety and sanitation.
• Act as back up Bartender when needed.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, and/or ability required.

This position has no Supervisory responsibilities.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

A minimum of 1 year as a Convention Services Porter or related field is preferred; and/or combination of education & experience.

MCN OPG Gaming License is required.

Must have ability to pass comprehensive background check, drug test, and obtain gaming license as required. Oklahoma ABLE liquor license and Tulsa County Food Handler's permit is required.

Job Demands

Shift work, holidays, weekends or nights may be assigned. Ability to maneuver in all areas of casino, frequent ascent/descent from bus stairs, frequent standing, walking, sitting; travel to various on/off site venues, which may involve elevation changes in surfaces. Ability to lift at least 35 lbs. Visual acuity to discern and examine text, graphics, color and symmetry. Speech to communicate clearly, express ideas and convey information in an understandable manner. Ability to hear for listening comprehension and to understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. Manual dexterity to operate office or required equipment and examine or update documents, records, data, instructions, logs, and files.
