Controls Software EngineerM Force Partners is seeking a skilled Controls Software Engineer to support control systems development and embedded software engineering for robotic and electromechanical systems. This Controls Software Engineer role will participate in the full software development lifecycle including architecture definition, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.The ideal Controls Software Engineer will have experience working with robotics systems, real-time embedded software, and cross-disciplinary debugging across mechanical, electrical, and control system domains. This role will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams while managing software development projects of moderate complexity.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop software using C, C++, and Python for control systems and embedded applicationsDesign and implement control algorithms for robotic and electromechanical systemsDevelop device drivers and board support packages for embedded platformsPerform real-time programming and debugging in Linux environmentsUtilize ROS (Robot Operating System) for robotics developmentManage code repositories using Git and GitHubImplement and support communication protocols including RS232, RS422, RS485, CAN, and TCP/IPSupport system debugging and integration using instrumentation tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzersIntegrate and troubleshoot motor control systems and sensor interfacesCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers during system integrationLead or support software development efforts for engineering projectsMaintain documentation for system architecture, software development, and testingSupport additional engineering projects as requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D.
