Controls Project Manager (Building Automation Systems)Location: Houston, TXSalary: $110-130kNo sponsorship availableBenefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance, Retirement plan options, Ongoing training and professional development opportunities, Paid time off.Job SummaryThe Controls Project Manager is responsible for managing Building Automation System (BAS) projects from initial concept through completion. This role plays a key part in driving the growth of the controls department by overseeing project execution, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects.Key ResponsibilitiesLead project teams to achieve departmental and organizational goals, including financial performanceManage BAS projects from conceptualization through completionIdentify and escalate project issues in a timely mannerEstimate and support the sale of BAS construction projects and change ordersDevelop accurate cost estimates for materials, equipment, and laborCoordinate materials, manpower, and schedules for assigned projectsCollaborate with internal teams and divisions to ensure project alignment and efficiencyParticipate in sales meetings and assist with client engagement as neededFacilitate and attend project meetings throughout the project lifecycleMaintain active involvement in relevant professional and industry organizationsQualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)Experience with control systems such as Automated Logic, Siemens Desigo, Distech Controls, or Tridium/NiagaraStrong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsProven ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships simultaneouslyExcellent time management and organizational skillsHands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, building automation/controls, boilers, air conditioning, and/or chillers3–5 years of experience in energy management, building commissioning, and/or system diagnostics and troubleshootingWork Environment & ExpectationsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teamsCommitment to delivering high-quality project outcomes and client satisfactionEqual Opportunity StatementThis organization is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
