Controls ProgrammerCarrier Commercial Service has an opening for an experienced Controls Programmer for our Phoenix, AZ location. The Controls Programmer is responsible for the successful overall software design of projects, database creation, as well the implementation of the controls design and standards used in the programming and documentation of controls projects.Specific responsibilities for this position include:Advanced knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plusRequires an individual with an advanced skillset in BAS / controls programmingProgramming of controls systems and implementing developed Sequence of OperationsComplete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelinesPartner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timelineCreate submittals, read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawingsDocument and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes in collaboration with our Project ManagerAssemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projectsTest project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standardsInspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkoutsConduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documentsSubmit material orders for project-required materials to the purchasing group.Job requires some fieldwork with controllers and associated components alongside our Controls Field EngineersAssist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to commission the system or work with the Commissioning AgentIncentive compensation eligibleRequired Qualifications:Associate's degree4+ years of experience in building automation systems controls programming.Preferred Qualifications:BA/BS Engineering degree with 2–3+ years relevant experienceMA/MS Engineering degree with 0–1+ years relevant experienceKnowledge of computers and setup proceduresKnowledge of computer networking systemsPrevious experience in AutoCAD and BluebeamWorking experience with Carrier i-Vu, Tridium or BACnet systemsProficient with Microsoft SuiteExcellent written and verbal communications skillsKnowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/ControlPrior experience in HVAC and/or Building AutomationPay Range:The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually.
