Controls Application EngineerControls Application Engineer supports the programming, commissioning, and optimization of commercial building automation systems. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with hands-on experience in HVAC control systems, Niagara platforms, and Honeywell commercial controls.Essential Responsibilities:Program, configure, and commission commercial building automation and HVAC control systemsDevelop and implement sequences of operation based on project specifications and engineering standardsPerform system checkout, startup, troubleshooting, and optimizationModify and enhance existing control programs to improve performance and efficiencySupport field technicians during installation and commissioning as neededIntegrate third-party systems using industry-standard protocolsProvide technical documentation and assist with customer training when requiredMinimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:Experience:2-4 years of hands-on experience with commercial control systems2-4 year experience with AX and/or N4 platformsWorking knowledge of BACnet, LonWorks, MODBUS, IP-based networking, and Niagara protocolsCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Niagara N4 Certification required (Advanced preferred), or ability to obtain certification immediately after hireCertifications and/or practical experience with Honeywell WEBs, Spyder, CIPer, and Optimizer controllersValid drivers licenseSkill Requirements:Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skillsStrong computer skillsControls installation experienceStrong understanding of HVAC system operation and sequence of control programmingSolid background in general electronicsPhysical Demands:Climbing ladders and/or stairsSitting/standingLifting up to 20 lbsWork Environment:This job operates in both an office and a field environment.Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.Work will be done in office environment and field which includes commercial roofs in inclement weather conditions.Reasonable Accommodation:Reasonable accommodation will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions unless doing so presents an undue hardship on the Company's business operations.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
