Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sustaining Controls Engineer to support manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, MES integration, industrial networks, and electrical safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial automation and manufacturing equipment.
- Independently execute PLC, HMI, and MES software modifications and improvements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve complex electrical and controls issues.
- Support automation technicians and improve equipment uptime, throughput, and safety.
- Troubleshoot industrial networks, safety systems, robotics, and vision systems.
Required Technical Skills:
- PLC: Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell Studio 5000 (strong independent programming and troubleshooting).
- SCADA/HMI: Ignition Perspective, Siemens WinCC, and Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME.
- MES: PLC product tracking, handshake/data programming, and Ignition data integration.
- Vision Systems: Keyence and Cognex barcode scanners and inspection systems.
- Electrical & Safety: Electrical schematics, Siemens ProfiSafe, Rockwell CIP Safety, and hardwired safety systems.
- Industrial Networking: Managed network switch configuration and troubleshooting.
- Additional Tools: iba and Octoplant (hands-on experience required).
Nice to Have:
- Beckhoff TwinCAT
- FANUC, Epson, or Kawasaki robotics troubleshooting
Pay Scale: $40 to $45/Hr on W2
