Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description
This position offers an experienced Controls Engineer the opportunity to join a growing machine builder and contribute immediately to active projects in an industrial automation environment. Will come in and support AB PLC programming, current installations, eventually will be owning projects from cradle to grave. The role combines hands on controls design, programming, and field support, with significant travel to customer sites and clear potential to advance into high level leadership responsibilities.
Travel 30%
* Ebbs and flows of travel, could be months at a time without travel
* +$6/hour premium for travel time
Responsibilities
* PLC troubleshooting/editing on current projects
* Fanuc robot programming and troubleshooting
* Installation at customers of new projects
* Collaborating and communication with various engineering teams.
Essential Skills
* 5+ years experience as a Controls Engineer
* Proficient in Allen Bradley PLCs (editing/troubleshooting)
* Robotics programming (Fanuc)
* Ability to work independently
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
