nThis role focuses on assembling and wiring control panels and mechanical subassemblies in a clean, climate-controlled environment. You will install housings, cabinets, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components, ensuring all wiring and terminations meet quality and safety standards. Working from fabrication drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and wire lists, you will perform detailed electrical and mechanical tasks under direct supervision and complete accurate as-built and quality control documentation.

Assemble control panels and mechanical subassemblies according to fabrication drawings and specifications.

Install housings or cabinets, electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and related components.

Position and connect wiring harnesses, cables, and lead wires in accordance with wiring diagrams and wire lists.

Terminate wiring and components, ensuring secure and accurate electrical connections.

Attach and fasten terminal lugs, connector pins, and other devices to single wires or combinations of twisted wires.

Perform drilling, tapping, crimping, and soldering as required for panel and component assembly.

Follow verbal and written instructions to complete electrical and mechanical tasks safely and efficiently under direct supervision.

Use electrical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve assembly or wiring issues as they arise.

Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and wire lists.

Complete detailed and accurate as-built documentation for each project.

Prepare and maintain quality control documentation to verify that assemblies meet required standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

Four (4) years of experience working in the electrical industry.

Hands-on experience with electrical assembly and control systems.

Proficiency in wiring, including positioning, connecting, and terminating wiring harnesses, cables, and lead wires.

Skill in attaching and fastening terminal lugs, connector pins, and other devices to single and twisted wires.

Experience performing drilling, tapping, crimping, and soldering for electrical assemblies.

nWork Environment
nThe role is based in a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled facility that supports precision electrical and mechanical work. The normal schedule follows a 4/10 structure, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing three-day weekends under typical conditions. Due to periods of higher demand, the current schedule operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., though this is not expected to be permanent. Work is performed on-site with no travel required. The environment is structured, organized, and focused on safety and quality, with appropriate tools and equipment provided to perform drilling, tapping, crimping, soldering, and detailed electrical assembly tasks.

nThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, VA.
nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
