Controllers Division JobThe Controllers division is dedicated to managing the firm's financial and regulatory obligations, ensuring accurate financial recording, compliance with accounting standards, and the implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets. It provides financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making across all business areas.The division is responsible for:Regulatory Reporting: The meticulous preparation and timely submission of periodic reports to regulatory authorities, ensuring the firm's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Financial Reporting: Implementing and maintaining the firm's integrated financial reporting program, preparing comprehensive financial statements to offer an overview of the firm's financial performance and position.Legal Entity Controllers (LEC): Overseeing the financial integrity and compliance of specific legal entities within the firm, managing accounting functions, ensuring adherence to local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Reconciliations: A critical internal control procedure designed to verify the accuracy and reliability of accounting data and other management information, ensuring that information transmitted to, contained in, and reported from financial systems is accurate, complete, and recorded in a timely manner.Product Controllers: Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting for trading desks and investment products, managing daily Profit & Loss (P&L), conduct independent valuations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Basic qualifications include:Bachelor's degree0-3 years of prior work experience in a relevant field.Proficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-throughStrong ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlinesTeam player with positive attitude and strong work ethicStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt quickly to a variety of industries and businessesAbility to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgmentsAbility to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholdersCommercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive informationIntegrity, ethical standards and sound judgmentAbout Goldman SachsAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
