Our rapidly growing client is seeking a dynamic professional who thrives in high growth/start-up environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with executive-level communication skills, demonstrating sound judgment, discretion, and a hands-on approach to supporting business operations. This role is on-site in West Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, expense reporting, and general ledger activities.
• Support monthly close processes, reconciliations, budgeting efforts, and variance analysis to deliver accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and present financial insights and performance updates to leadership.
• Coordinate annual audit activities, tax-related processes, and other compliance requirements.
• Serve as a collaborative partner across finance, HR, and operations while helping strengthen and scale financial processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting or finance experience; 8–12 years of experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical accounting practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to confidently present financial information to leadership and investors.
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive matters.

Preferred Skills

• CPA/CFA credentials.
• Experience with PE-backed companies, manufacturing accounting (including inventory and cost accounting), and/or high-growth or start-up environments is highly valued.
• Experience in investment banking, private equity, or public accounting environments.

Salary: $105K-$115K/year + Bonus. (DOE)
