Position Summary

The Controller provides financial leadership, stewardship, and oversight to advance the organization’s mission. This role ensures the financial integrity, sustainability, and accountability of the organization while supporting long-term strategic planning and operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting.

Skills & Experience

• Proven recent experience in senior financial leadership within a nonprofit organization
• Demonstrated understanding of construction accounting and mortgage lending or similar multi-faceted operating environments
• Experience managing Finance, HR, IT
• Deep understanding of financial stewardship, compliance, and governance in a nonprofit environment
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive accountability across teams
• Strong commitment to mission, principles, and core values.
• Ability to work with and serve a diverse demographic.

Qualifications

• 4 yr Accounting Finance degree required (MBA preferred)
• 2+ yrs non-profit experience in a leadership capacity required
• 2+ years' of strategic financial leadership experience required
