Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This individual will be responsible for managing the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial records, performing complex account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, hands-on NetSuite experience, and a detail-oriented, investigative approach to identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Oversee general ledger accounting and financial reporting activities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support external audits and coordinate audit requests
- Manage cash flow reporting and balance sheet integrity
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting efficiencies
- Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Utilize NetSuite to manage accounting operations, reporting, and data accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities
- Strong experience managing month-end close processes
- Advanced account reconciliation and balance sheet analysis skills
- Hands-on NetSuite experience required
- Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
- CPA preferred but not required
