Mackie Myers is partnering with a fast-growing, mission-driven supplement brand to hire a Controller. Built on a strong DTC foundation, the business has expanded quickly into national retail. It is now bringing on experienced finance leaders to help it scale through its next stage of growth.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will own accounting operations end to end: close, reporting, AR and retail deductions, cost of goods, sales tax, and audit readiness. It’s a hands-on seat for someone who likes building scalable processes in a lean, tech-forward environment. The team is led by people who teach and invest in their team, and they want someone who’ll grow with them long term.

What You’ll Do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Deliver accurate, timely GAAP financial statements and monthly management reporting
• Build out AR and deductions management as the business scales across retail partners
• Oversee cost accounting and inventory, fixed assets, and balance sheet integrity
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidations across a multi-entity structure
• Own sales tax compliance and partner with outside advisors on income tax
• Lead audit preparation and serve as the primary contact for external auditors
• Strengthen internal controls and drive automation within NetSuite
• Lead and develop a small accounting team

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervising and developing staff
• Strong NetSuite experience (required), ideally in a multi-entity environment
• CPG background with retail and e-commerce exposure, including trade deductions and chargebacks
• Solid working knowledge of cost of goods, inventory accounting, and sales tax
• Startup or high-growth experience, with a track record of building processes rather than only maintaining them
• Strong US GAAP foundation and advanced Excel skills
• Coachable, curious, and low-ego, with a genuine interest in learning and growing with the team

Nice to Have

• Public accounting experience
• Background in supplements, nutraceuticals, wellness, or omnichannel consumer brands
• Experience leading a company through audit readiness
