We’re working with a growing construction company looking to bring on a Controller to work closely with ownership and help guide the business through its next phase.
This is a newly created role tied to growth, not backfill. The company has been steadily expanding and is at a point where they need a strong financial leader to help bring structure, support decision-making, and scale what’s already working.

Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Controller
- Partner directly with ownership on financial strategy and day-to-day decisions
- Oversee the full accounting and finance function across multiple entities
- Own cash flow, forecasting, and financial planning
- Review project performance and profitability across jobs
- Lead budgeting and forecasting, and build out more forward-looking financial models
- Put processes in place that can support continued growth and higher volume
- Work closely with operations around costing, pricing, and investment decisions
- Manage and develop the accounting team while keeping the culture collaborative and low-key
Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller
- Proven experience in a CFO, VP Finance, or high-level Controller/Finance leadership role
- Strong background in construction or project-based industries
- Demonstrated ability to support and scale a company through rapid growth
- Strong financial acumen combined with business strategy mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
