Our client, a fast growing tech company, is seeking a Controller to lead accounting, treasury, financial reporting and reconciliations. This position reports to the CFO and will help build a finance organization that supports the company's continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Direct the month-end close, general ledger, accounts payable and payroll accounting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Oversee cash management, liquidity, forecasting and banking relationships
- Manage account reconciliations and resolve open items in a timely manner
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Manage external audits, tax advisors and regulatory examinations
- Develop accounting policies, procedures and scalable processes
- Lead and develop the accounting staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- Eight or more years of accounting experience, including three or more in a leadership role
- Experience in banking or financial services
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience working with external auditors
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite or a similar system
