Are you an experienced accounting leader who knows how to keep financial operations running smoothly, strengthen internal controls, and lead a high-performing accounting team?

This is an opportunity to step into a key financial leadership role with an established nonprofit health and human services organization, overseeing accounting operations for a $17M organization and working closely with the VP of Finance.

💼 THE OPPORTUNITY

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and general ledger activities

• Own month-end and year-end close, with a 15-day monthly close target

• Oversee GAAP-compliant financial statements, reconciliations, and internal controls

• Manage grant accounting, restricted funds, cost allocations, and audit readiness

• Lead, develop, and strengthen the accounting team

• Support budgeting, financial analysis, and process improvements

🎯 HARD REQUIREMENTS

✔️ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

✔️ 7+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience

✔️ 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience

✔️ Strong GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit experience

✔️ Proven experience managing month-end close processes

✔️ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

⭐ WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT

CPA certification, nonprofit accounting, grant management, federal or Florida Single Audits, and experience with MIP Fund Accounting.
