As a fully remote Controller, the candidate will oversee accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, managing the general ledger, leading month-end and year-end close processes, and preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Key responsibilities Manage the general ledger and oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP Lead and mentor the accounting and payroll team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and oversee the annual audit process with external auditors Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA highly preferred, MBA or other advanced degree preferred Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 4 years in a leadership role Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems, with experience in NetSuite highly preferred Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in value-based care or managed care organizations, is highly desirable Strong analytical skills and leadership abilities, with a focus on driving performance and accountability
