Overview

In this newly created Controller role, you will lead the finance and accounting function and report to the CFO. You will partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and operational improvements, while guiding a six-person team. You'll ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, close processes, and accurate financial statements. The role also involves analyzing real estate performance metrics and representing the finance team to clients, lenders, and the board, driving impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance and accounting team of about six professionals
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, GAAP compliance, and accounting operations
• Manage balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, and third-party transaction reporting
• Analyze real estate performance metrics including IRR, cash-on-cash returns, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and recoveries
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, special projects, and operational improvements
• Represent the finance team to clients, lenders, board members, and external stakeholders
