Controller Private Equity

Overview
In this Controller role, you will lead the firm's financial operations within a private equity environment. You'll partner with the Managing Partner to drive growth through robust treasury, forecasting, budgeting, and investor reporting. You'll manage a small outsourced accounting team while upholding strong financial controls and strategic initiatives. Your hands-on leadership will shape operational improvements and best practices in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee treasury management, fund wires, capital calls and distributions, and investment of excess cash
  • Produce 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts and annual cash flow projections
  • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing financial planning
  • Manage outsourced accounting team and ensure accurate reporting and efficiencyDevelop and monitor financial metrics, management reporting, and investor reporting materials
  • Maintain relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurance providers, and IT partners
  • Support tax compliance for federal/state income and sales tax requirements
  • Partner with leadership to implement operational improvements and financial best practices
