Weareworkingwithafast-growing,privateequity-backedcompanywithfourU.S.regionsandanationalpresenceinaproject-basedservicesenvironment.Duetosteadygrowthandinternalrestructuring,theyarehiringone—possiblytwo—Controllerstohelpoverseeabusyregionalstructure.We’vealreadyplacedfourprofessionalsontheiraccountingteamthisyear,allofwhomwerehiredduetoexpansion.

Thisisahigh-impact,visiblerolewithstrongcollaborationacrossoperations,sales,HR,andsharedservices.ReportingdirectlytotheVPofAccounting,thisindividualwillstepintoanevolvingenvironmentwherestructureisstillbeingbuilt.Theidealcandidateenjoysbringingordertochaos,hasstrongtechnicalskills,andthrivesinless-than-perfectsystems.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadthemonthlycloseprocess,reconciliations,andfinancialreporting
• Supportannualauditprocessesandpreparerelevanttaxandauditschedules
• Implementandenforceaccountingpolicies,procedures,andinternalcontrols
• SupportrevenuerecognitionusingPercentageofCompletion(POC)606
• Performprojectcostanalysis,includingstandardcostingandvariancetracking
• Partnerwithcross-functionalteamstoimproveaccountingworkflowsandreporting
• Helpintegratefinancialprocessesacrossmultipleentities(6+companiesinvolved)
• Workwithinamultidimensionalstructure(multi-location,department,andproject-based)
• Helpscaleaccountingsystems—SageIntaccthighlydesired;SAPexperiencealsowelcomed

• Bachelor'sdegreeinAccounting;CPApreferredbutnotrequired
• 5–7+ years in senior accounting or controller roles within distribution, manufacturing, or construction
• Strongtechnicalaccountingskillsingeneralledger,balancesheets,andstandardcosting
• Expertiseinprojectaccountingandrevenuerecognition(POC606)
• Experiencemanagingorcontributingtoaccountingfor$150M+inrevenuepreferred
• Backgroundwithlarger,structuredorganizationsisideal,butmustbeadaptabletoambiguity
