We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing company based in Peachland, NC, to identify an experienced accounting professional to lead its accounting function. This individual will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, drive process improvements, and support the company's financial reporting and operational goals. The ideal candidate brings progressive accounting experience, prior management experience, and a background in ERP implementation and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company's accounting function and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Manage financial reporting, general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close processes, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Develop, implement, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and strengthen accounting processes.
• Lead or support ERP implementation, system upgrades, and accounting systems optimization.
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with leadership and other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of prior management or leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing accounting operations and managing core accounting functions.
• Previous ERP implementation experience.
• Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
