A private equity-backed science research company in the north suburbs is hiring a Controller. This person will drive the close process, financial reporting to PE firm and banks, have oversight of operational accounting, purchase accounting for M&A and audit support. A lot of opportunity for process improvement and automation and implementing NetSuite. There are a couple accounting staff at newly acquired business that don’t report up through this person today but likely will be rolled under soon. Great opportunity to join a growing business with strong PE backing and have a broad scope of responsibilities.

Must Haves:
- Public/industry background with VC or PE backed company accounting/reporting experience preferred profile
- Polished leadership demeanor
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting
