Emerge is looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing medical center in Paris, Texas.

This senior-level finance leadership role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for leading the hospital’s accounting and financial operations, supporting budgeting, audit activity, departmental performance, and overall financial discipline. The position also carries leadership responsibility for staffing, team development, and operational effectiveness.

Location: Paris, TX

Schedule: Full-time

Work Arrangement: On-site

Travel: None

Salary: $100,000 to $125,000

Reports To: CFO

Emerge is looking for

A hospital finance leader with strong accounting, budgeting, audit, and team-management experience. The ideal candidate has prior hospital experience, understands the financial and operational demands of a healthcare environment, and can partner closely with the CFO and department leaders.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee departmental finance and accounting operations.
• Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with organizational objectives.
• Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets.
• Ensure the department operates within approved funding levels.
• Coordinate and direct internal and external audits.
• Monitor operational performance and quality-control objectives.
• Support staffing activities including hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and employee development.
• Lead and develop staff while fostering professional growth.
• Support information systems and departmental operating processes.
• Partner with hospital leadership to ensure finance supports the broader continuum of care.
• Promote accountability, open communication, teamwork, and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hospital experience required.
• Strong accounting and financial-management background.
• Experience with budgeting and financial oversight.
• Audit coordination experience.
• Leadership and team-management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Paris, Texas.
