DescriptionKforce has a client seeking a Controller in the Hartford, CT area.Day to Day Responsibilities:* Manage a team of 3-4 staff* Lead month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely reconciliations of all accounts, (balance sheet, income statement, multiple banks, etc.)* Hands-on - "Lead by Example" complex account reconciliations, including cash, payroll accruals, and other treasury-related accounts* Manage external audits with the CPA firm* Manage and resolve discrepancies in financial records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy* Support process controls and efficiency initiatives* Work with internal teams to ensure financial controls and compliance* Assist with audit and tax preparation and provide supporting documents to external auditorsRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting* 10+ years of accounting experience with current staff supervision* SALT Tax and Sales and Use tax exposure* Multi-entity accounting and reconciliation experienceJob TypeDirect HireCompensation - $
