Who We Need

As our Controller , you will step into a high-impact leadership position. We are seeking an analytical and business-minded person who can proactively identify trends, opportunities and how to improve profitability and cash flow. You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with 5-10 years progressive accounting experience. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with the business acumen to translate financial information into meaningful insights, recommendations and decisions.

• Proactively bring forward insights and recommendations that help the company make better business decisions.
• Shadow the Controller to understand high-level financial strategy, reporting and decision-making. Slowly take over the Sr. Accountant or Controller responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Required To Do

• Manage and perform daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll, purchasing, reconciliations, journal entries and month-end close.
• Prepare financial reports for multiple companies in a timely manner and analyze results.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records in our accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ConnectWise, SkySwitch).
• Track budgets, analyze variances, and prepare forecasts.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews while learning best practices for internal controls.
• Develop a strong understanding of the multiple business units.
• Become a trusted resource to the President for financial analysis and decision making.
• Translate financials statements and data into actionable recommendations for company growth.
• Proactively identify financial risks, opportunities, trends and emerging issues.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger, profit & loss statement and the balance sheet.
• Evaluate company performance against projections and make recommendations as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve the financial management for the company.
• Build a strong relationship with co-workers.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency and provide better information to management.
• Work with outside accounting, tax, banking, insurance, vendor and other professionals.
