About the Role

The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls. This individual will play a key role in strengthening accounting processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing leadership with meaningful insights into the company's financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, P&L reports, and management reporting packages.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in partnership with leadership.
• Analyze financial results, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors, and other financial partners.
• Oversee payroll accounting, expense reporting, and related reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or senior-level accounting responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software; QuickBooks or similar platforms preferred.
• Industry experience in advertising, marketing, branding, creative agencies, or related professional services is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and improve existing processes. xhqgsiq
