Our client is a growing, private equity-backed organization seeking a Controller to provide strong financial leadership and serve as a key business partner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and private equity firm.
This is an executive-facing role for a hands-on accounting and finance leader who can combine technical accounting expertise with strong business judgment and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial results.
- Own cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
- Oversee revenue recognition and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Partner closely with the CEO on financial performance, forecasting, business planning, and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and key business metrics to the Board of Directors.
- Serve as a primary financial contact with the organization’s private equity sponsor, providing reporting, analysis, and insight.
- Develop meaningful financial reporting and KPIs that improve visibility into business performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, systems, and financial performance.
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Progressive Controller or senior finance leadership experience.
- Strong experience with cash flow forecasting, budgeting/forecasting, and revenue recognition.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into business insights.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the confidence to present to senior leadership, a Board of Directors, and PE stakeholders.
- Hands-on, commercially minded leader who can operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
