Location: La Porte, Indiana | Fully Onsite
Salary: $130,000–$150,000

Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization. This individual will provide strong financial leadership while remaining directly involved in the General Ledger, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. Construction and multi-state experience are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including General Ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting .

• Oversee accounting activities across multiple states and entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Provide financial leadership for construction operations, including job costing, WIP, project profitability, and revenue recognition .

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while establishing strong processes and internal controls.

• Partner with executive and operational leadership to provide financial insight, improve processes, and support business decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with Controller-level leadership experience preferred.

• Proven construction accounting experience , including job costing, WIP, and project financials.

• Strong hands-on expertise with the General Ledger and financial reporting .

• Experience managing accounting for multiple states and/or entities .

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills , with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of the organization.
