Controller (Fully Remote)

We're looking for a Controller to own every aspect of accounting at Canopy and help the CFO run operations for crisp revenue contracting through recognition and collection. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role for an accounting leader who can bring collaboration and service orientation across the company. What You'll Own: You'll define the roadmap and deliver services for Canopy's accounting team, including a modernized tech stack, revenue integrity, and AI integration. You'll own technical accounting policies, GAAP compliance, the annual audit, tax compliance, and the corporate insurance program. You'll manage the accounting team and develop relationships across the leadership team, surfacing risks and opportunities early. What We're Looking For: 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 4 years owning the close at a high-growth, venture-backed startup. Active CPA license and Big 4 experience, with a genuine appetite for hands-on work. Experience with SaaS, AI tools, and AI-native ERP implementation is a big plus.
