About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization seeking an experienced and mission-driven Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys making an impact while working in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.

Salary Range: $110,000–$160,000

Overview of the Controller Role:

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations for the organization
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, financial policies, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee internal controls and support audit preparation and coordination
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
• Monitor organizational financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance team members
• Collaborate with department leaders to support budgeting and financial planning initiatives

Preferred Qualifications for the Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA preferred
• Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior-level accounting leadership experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audit processes
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
