Our client is a Newport Beach–based UHNW family office overseeing a diversified portfolio across real estate, hospitality, and multi-family investments.
Position Summary
The Controller / Finance Director will oversee all finance, accounting, and tax coordination for the principal’s multi-entity portfolio. This individual will act as a trusted partner, ensuring accuracy, oversight, and full visibility into all financial activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations across multiple entities and investments
- Review and verify all expenses, cash flow, and financial activity
- Partner directly with the principal on financial oversight and reporting
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, accountants, and property management firms
- Consolidate financial reporting across real estate and investment holdings
- Monitor capex spend, budgets, and large transactions (real estate, assets, etc.)
- Maintain strong controls and ensure accuracy across all financial processes
Qualifications
- CPA required (non‑negotiable)
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience (family office, real estate, or similar preferred)
- Strong understanding of multi‑entity structures, tax coordination, and cash management
- High integrity, detail‑oriented, and hands‑on
- Must be able to work onsite in Newport Beach
