Our client is a startup holding company with three operating companies already acquired. The Controller will be the first hire on the finance team, reporting to the Operating CEO and working closely with the founders. You will own accounting at two levels: the Holdco, including investor, lender, and tax reporting, and each partner company, where the books must be clean enough to show what every job actually earns. There will be so much growth opportunity for this individual.
You will build the accounting backbone of a multi-company operating business from a clean sheet, and then run it at scale
Some of your responsibilities will be:
-Build the accounting function from scratch
-Own the Holding Company close and investor reporting
-Run the partner company books
-Handle acquisition accounting and integration
-Select and implement the finance stack
-Support lender and board reporting
-Building the team
