Controller

Established manufacturing company in Edison, NJ is seeking a Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Performs month end and year end closings.

• Communicates in a professional manner with internal staff, vendors, and customers.

• Directs and coordinates, through subordinate personnel, all activities related to accounting and finance. Ensures all activities are in compliance with necessary legal and regulatory local, state, and federal requirements.

• Monitors cash flow and prepares detailed financial reports for regular executive team meetings.

• Interfaces with outside accounting firm.

• Responsible for growth and development of accounting staff.

• Oversees all activities related to management of human resources including but not limited to:

• Participates as member of executive team formulating and establishing organizational policies and procedures.

• Submits tax returns and payments as required.

• Coordinates activities related to financing including lines of credit, business loans, and corporate accounts.

Requirements:

• 10+ years accounting experience in the Manufacturing Industry.

• 5+ years management experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.

• Ability to interface with management and personnel throughout the organization in an objective manner.

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax and employment related legal and regulatory requirements.

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Possess sound judgment, analytical skills, and perseverance.

• Ability to train, coach, and delegate to a team of individuals.

• Accomplished in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
