We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Dayton area seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day financial operations and support strategic business decisions. In this highly visible role, you’ll work closely with senior leadership to strengthen controls, improve reporting, and drive operational insight across the plant.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead full-cycle accounting: Oversee month-end and year-end close, prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, and ensure timely, accurate reconciliations
- Manage manufacturing accounting: Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, WIP, and BOM accuracy
- Strengthen controls & compliance: Maintain strong internal controls, support audits, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Oversee core operations: Supervise AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
- Drive budgeting and forecasting: Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and margin analysis to support pricing, capacity, and cost-control decisions
- Support financial strategy: Partner with leadership to improve reporting, optimize processes, support capital projects, and enhance ERP utilization
- Mentor and collaborate: Lead and develop accounting staff while partnering with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus)
- Manufacturing or distribution accounting experience strongly preferred
- Solid background in cost accounting, inventory, and financial reporting
- Experience supervising accounting teams or senior accountants
- Practical, business-minded leader who communicates well with both finance and operations
